Miami’s Calle Ocho Celia Cruz Mural

In collaboration with Kcull Life Foundation, Miss Lushy painted a beautiful Celia Cruz mural at The Latin Walk of Fame on Calle Ocho in Little Havana across her walk of fame star to pay homage to the Queen of Salsa. Celia Cruz was the first to get her star on the walk of fame so it was only right for this to be the first mural through “The Calle Ocho Latin Music & Art Series Project” which aims to revive multicultural communities by featuring Latin culture’s most influential musicians and figures. The mural was welcomed and celebrated by the community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony unveiling the mural on Saturday, April 24th. 2021. Joined by Commissioner Joe Carollo and celebrity guests, everyone celebrated the beautiful addition to their community with the flavors of Cuban heritage with cuban percussionists, cigar rollers and salsa dancers. Through this initiative, the community was able to come together and pay tribute to the amazing Celia Cruz. The Celia Cruz mural was sponsored by the Celia Cruz Legacy Project, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) / Art of Black Miami, Bacardi, and The City of Miami.
