Verizon’s “La Ciudad Que Progresa” Hialeah Mural
Painted By Miss Lushy, Roc Sol and Dee Perez with Project Roadmap
In collaboration with Project Roadmap, Miss Lushy produced a beautiful mural for Verizon’s retail store in Hialeah that fosters the message of “La Ciudad Que Progresa”. Located in the busiest intersection of Hialeah, this new mural blends family values, cultural traditions and generational wisdom while highlighting Hialeah’s culture and city, making it a new landmark for the community to enjoy for years to come thanks to Verizon’s art initiative and support of local artists.
Verizon’s newest mural installation in Hialeah, “La Ciudad Que Progresa” (The City That Progresses), stands as a powerful tribute to the city’s culture, family values, and forward momentum. It serves as a vibrant reflection of Hialeah’s past, present, and future. It also features augmented reality technology to add an interactive experience to the mural through BrandXR.
As part of Verizon’s Project Love Letters initiative, the Hialeah mural was shaped directly by the voices of local residents and Verizon employees. Through surveys and community input, Verizon sought to understand how Hialeah wanted to see itself represented. That collective vision was then brought to life by Miss Lushy and Project Roadmap’s artist team as a collaboration with artists Roc Sol and Dee Perez, ensuring the final piece authentically reflects the spirit of the neighborhood through the artistic collaboration. We celebrated the mural with Verizon leadership, The City of Hialeah and Hialeah’s Mayor Esteban Bovo, who welcomed the mural to the neighborhood.
When you visit the Verizon Hialeah store, you will find Miss Lushy’s bio framed in the store to learn more about the artist behind the mural.
“As a local business invested in the communities in which we live, work, and play, it was important that these installations reflect the vibrant cultures of each neighborhood.”
