The Kicks of CONCACAF: Hand-Painted Soccer Cleats
Miami artist Alexandra Seda, known artistically as Miss Lushy, hand-painted seven custom soccer cleats for the Kicks of Concacaf exhibit at Concacaf House, celebrating the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Each pair of painted boots honors a Concacaf nation through its flag colors, national symbols, and cultural heritage, from the Mayan patterns of Guatemala to the golden frog of Panama.
BELIZE
These hand-painted cleats celebrate Belize in the bold colors of its national flag, woven with patterns inspired by the Garifuna Indigenous community. The keel-billed toucan, Belize's national bird, spreads across the shoes against calm ocean scenery honoring the country's coastal heritage and natural beauty. Painted for the Kicks of Concacaf exhibit at Concacaf House during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
Serene ocean blues and turquoise wash over these custom-painted cleats, capturing the crystal-clear waters of the British Virgin Islands. A sea turtle glides across the boots alongside bright yellow blossoms and soft beach textures, a tribute to the islands' tropical essence and natural history. Created for Concacaf House's Kicks of Concacaf collection celebrating the World Cup.
EL SALVADOR
Painted in the classic blue and white of the Salvadoran flag, these soccer cleats bring El Salvador's landscape to life with a volcano, rolling mountains, and lush greenery. Coffee plants sit at the heart of the shoes, honoring a crop that shaped the nation's culture, economy, and identity. Hand-painted for the Kicks of Concacaf at Concacaf House.
GUATEMALA
These hand-painted cleats blend ancestral architecture with the cosmos, centering bold Mayan diamond patterns in the deep blues of Guatemala's flag. The Templo del Gran Jaguar is woven across the boots in a textile-inspired style, joined by symbols of the mountains and universe reflecting the Mayan cosmovision. Part of the Kicks of Concacaf exhibit for the 2026 World Cup.
NICARAGUA
A personal one for the artist, whose roots are Nicaraguan. These custom cleats build a vivid natural scene in Nicaragua's national colors, featuring the turquoise-browed Motmot, the country's national bird, surrounded by tropical flowers and flowing water across the shoes. A celebration of the land, culture, and ecology Nicaraguans hold close. Painted for Concacaf House during the FIFA World Cup 2026.
PANAMA
These hand-painted soccer cleats radiate the vibrance of Panama through the colors of its flag and traditional Mola patterns of the Guna people. The Panamanian golden frog, a national symbol of good fortune, takes center stage on the boots against tropical leaves representing the country's rare wildlife and rich heritage. Created for the Kicks of Concacaf World Cup exhibit.
SURINAME
Bold color-blocking in the reds, greens, and golds of the Surinamese flag gives these custom-painted cleats their striking identity. Ixora blossoms, the national flower, bloom across the shoes among lush rainforest elements, balancing national pride with natural heritage. Hand-painted for Concacaf House's Kicks of Concacaf collection.
